Jacob Jefferson
Jacob Jefferson is the Program Officer for the Office of the President. In this role, Jacob acts as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients, the Board of Governors, and the Global Advisory Council. Jacob also conducts research and writes memos, reports, presentations, and other informational materials on issues of importance to the organization.
Prior to working in the Office of the President, Jacob was a program associate for the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. In this role, Jacob assisted with program operations such as fellowship application support, data management/analysis, and program logistics.
Before joining IREX, Jacob was a Peace Corps Volunteer focusing on primary education in South Africa. Jacob's areas of interest include global education policy, program monitoring and evaluation, the economics of international development, and African politics.
Jacob holds an M.A. in international relations from Syracuse University and a B.A. from the University of Tampa in political science with a concentration in international affairs and French.
