As a Co-Founder for Panela Company, Jairo Joel Valdes Espinosa has experience in developing sustainable and technical ideas in order to achieve the business goals. During the fellowship, Jairo aims to learn about new sustainable agriculture trends related to sugar cane; marketing and product design; and develop leadership and business skills. Upon returning to Panama, Jairo plans to develop new opportunities and strategies to make the business competitive also help the community and small farmers to improve their sugar cane plantation and factories in order to provide a product with added value and high quality.
