James Claude Mutyaba
As the Executive Director of Empowerment For the Poor-Uganda, James Claude Mutyaba builds the capacity of women and youth in business and entrepreneur skills, food security and agri-business and increases their access to education and health opportunities. While in the U.S., Mutyaba worked with Clean Energy Coalition in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he coordinated the Arbor Bike project to reduce carbon emissions that result into climate change and developed a wind energy project for school children. Since his return to Uganda, Mutyaba has worked on a project that promotes livelihood and environmental conservation through beekeeping among vulnerable communities in Uganda and is implementing a project that reduces the vulnerability of adolescent girls and young women to HIV and AIDS infection in the Mityana District of Uganda.
