Jarunee Jarusruangchai
As a Project Coordinator and Consultant for the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation, Jarunee is responsible for mobilizing communities on the local, national, and international level to address urban safety issues. Jarunee is an expert in creating engagement activities for grassroots communities, and has developed skills in initiating projects, community organizing, and stakeholder communication. She is passionate about finding innovative ways to use human capital, especially younger generations, to solve environmental and social issues. During her fellowship in the United States, Jarunee hopes to contribute to empowering youth and local communities to solve environmental and urban safety problems. She also hopes to learn advocacy strategies and techniques for influencing policymakers. Upon returning to Thailand, Jarunee plans to initiate a service and learning program on urban safety at the high school or university level in Thailand.
