As a community and civic engagement specialist for Rappler, Jene-Anne Budlayan Pangue has experience in building efforts to help fight disinformation through designing programs, linking partnerships, and community engagement. For her CSP practicum, Jene-Anne collaborated with the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, Missouri where she worked with disinformation materials and on an outreach project involving a rural community. For her follow-on project in the Philippians, Jene-Anne plans to foster collaboration between local media and communities to build trust in local news/media organizations and establish mechanisms for community members to share their interests and concerns with local media outlets.
