Jennifer Perdomo

Program Coordinator
Americas, Honduras, El Salvador, Education, Gender Equality & Inclusion, Youth

Jennifer Perdomo is a program coordinator under the Partnerships component for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program.

In this role, Jennifer fosters and creates meaningful partnerships, through recruitment of organizations and connecting with YLAI’s program partners, known as cohort ambassadors.

Before starting at IREX, Jennifer attended American University in Washington D.C., where she graduated with a bachelor's in international relations and a minor in Spanish. During her time there, she led an alternative break program in Honduras that focused on youth community and empowerment. Alongside this, she also interned for other programs under the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, such as Fulbright Spain and Education USA Chile. As a first-generation student, her passion for youth also prompted her to be involved as mentor and tutor within the non-profit sphere.

Jennifer hopes to continue her work in development, through the continuation of empowering populations and expanding educational opportunities in the Western Hemisphere.
