Jorge works in the energy and environment sector as the CEO of Akuai Energy. For Colombian families and companies driven by environmental awareness and a desire to reduce electricity consumption and minimize their negative environmental impact, Akuai Energy is a renewable energy solutions company that supplies and maintains renewable energy sources and offers clarity regarding the technologies it supplies and their positive environmental impact. Jorge’s short-term goal is to achieve financial sustainability and increase sales. Their long-term vision is to make the company a leader and innovator in environmental sustainability. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Jorge’s top business challenge is Operations. More specifically, they want to improve the company’s operations and develop new, consistent services focused on renewable energy. During the Fellowship Placement, Jorge hopes to gain knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the application of clean technologies while learning new strategies to optimize operations and sales.
