As Director and Founder of Carretica Cuentera, Jose Alberto Barrantes has experience in writing transmedia materials for children and in planning and facilitating storytelling workshops in Elementary Schools to motivate creativity, imagination, social skills and problem-solving among kids. During the fellowship, Jose Alberto aims to generate new ideas, stories, projects and workshops for children. Upon returning to Costa Rica, Jose Alberto plans to lead a bilingual storytelling project in schools located in vulnerable communities within the next 6 months. He also aims to establish new partnerships and tools to scale Carretica's materials and methods to other countries.
