Joseline Wegosasa is a Program Officer with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs in Uganda. During her CSP fellowship, Wegosasa worked with the Miami Dade County Community Action Agency on citizen participation and school readiness initiatives in Miami, Florida. Since the completion of her fellowship, she has worked on a number of programs funded by USAID and is currently managing the Political Competition and Consensus Building program, specifically the civil society component that aims at building an active and effective civil society. Having developed a personal development plan during the fellowship, Wegosasa has been sensitive to where she directs her energies i.e. to those things that build to her vision and the World she would like to see: “A World where innate individual uniqueness is appreciated and nurtured.” She has been able to guide youth to develop purpose statements and grow in business experience, among others. Wegosasa is currently a community leader sitting on four boards and several committees all to the benefit of the community.
