As a forestry engineer and GIS specialist for LRI, Joseph is managing a wildfire management component and is responsible for updated and maintaining a web mapping platform for environmental data. Joseph is an expert in forestry management and GIS, and has developed skills in community engagement, project management and data management. During his fellowship in the United States, Joseph hopes to learn about government policies, leadership skills, conflict management, and community based programs, while also developing his skills in data analysis and decision-making processes for sustainable global development. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Joseph plans to make use of technology in community based development projects implemented on the local level.
