Juan Felipe works in the conservation and sustainability sector as the Founder and Executive Director of Fundación Summa Paz. For individuals, companies, and organizations that are passionate about environmental preservation and social impact, Fundación Summa Paz is an environmental non-profit organization that offers supporters the opportunity to become guardians of the vital páramo ecosystem in Bogotá, Colombia, and create a sustainable future for humanity and nature. In the short term, Juan Felipe aims to raise awareness and secure funding through innovative strategies, including trekking, educational programs, and páramo adoption initiatives. Ultimately, the fellow's long-term vision is to become a global leader in environmental conservation by preserving vital ecosystems, protecting deforested areas, and fostering sustainable economies that coexist harmoniously with nature. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Juan Felipe's top business challenge is Finance. More specifically, they want to secure sustainable funding that supports conservation efforts, educational programs, and initiatives. During the Fellowship Placement, Juan Felipe hopes to gain exposure to valuable resources, expertise, and support.
