Katie Strine is a program coordinator working on various projects across the Information and Media Practice and especially on CSM-STAND projects funded by USAID. She supports projects around the world with civil society and media partners. She supports journalists and media outlets with capacity development initiatives and subgranting.

Before joining IREX, Katie worked in refugee resettlement and asylee services with the International Rescue Committee. Working with the case management and employment teams, she facilitated access to health care, financial, and medical services in the Maryland area.

Katie graduated from American University with a degree in international relations, where she focused on international development, French, and Portuguese. During her studies, she spent a year in Sao Paulo, Brazil, studying civil society and engagement. She speaks French, Spanish and some Portuguese.
