Kelsey J. Anderson
Kelsey Anderson is a Senior Program Officer II for Fulbright Teacher Exchanges at IREX.
Kelsey brings over 10 years of experience in education and nonprofit sectors to her current role. Her work with Fulbright Teacher Exchanges focuses on developing professional learning opportunities for U.S. educators to increase their understanding of global competence. She provides project management and specializes in training design and implementation, strategic communications, and oversight of travel and logistics.
Prior to joining IREX in 2019, Kelsey served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Armenia, teaching English to grades 3-12 and conducting trainings for local English teachers. In partnership with the Children of Armenia Fund, she also contributed to the U.S. Embassy’s English Access Microscholarship Program, providing teenagers from economically disadvantaged communities with high-quality, immersive English-language instruction. Kelsey previously coordinated Department of State-funded youth exchange programs through AFS Intercultural Programs, managing the annual placement of over 200 high school exchange students with volunteer host families and schools across the United States. Most recently, she supported Teach For America’s national finance team in their knowledge management, professional development, and event planning.
Kelsey speaks Armenian and holds a bachelor of science in English and secondary education from Towson University.
