Kemi works in the business services sector as the Director of Cari-Trade Consulting Ltd. For small and medium-sized organizations, state government export offices, and business associations that require strategic market intelligence and business contacts to facilitate trade and investment and support growth through international export, Cari-Trade Consulting Ltd is an export agency and chamber of commerce that provides these services to assist with market expansion and growth. Kemi’s short-term goal is to increase the current client base and establish a B2B platform for trade and investment within the Caribbean region. In the long term, the fellow aims to create a global B2B platform for trade and investment with firms globally. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Kemi’s top business challenge is Strategy, specifically, figuring out how to take the business idea from a concept to a pilot plan while tackling the financial obstacles of moving to the next phase. During the Fellowship Placement, Kemi hopes to gain more understanding and experience regarding the essential steps required to elevate the business to new heights.
