Lavinia Hakwenye
As a teacher and founder of the Keep Girls in School project for the Ministry of Education, Lavinia Hakwenye has experience strengthening schoolgirls’ knowledge of sexual and reproductive health rights, thereby giving girls a voice to speak about gender violence. For her CSP Practicum, Lavinia was placed at Tahirih Justice Center in Atlanta, Georgia where she supported in providing accessible legal and social services to immigrant survivors of gender-based violence. For her follow-on project in Namibia, Lavinia plans to set up a center for women and girls that promotes education, human rights, and the development of women and girls.
