Leeann Oelrich is a Program Coordinator for the Fulbright Teacher Exchanges Program. She primarily works on international teacher programming and the U.S. Department of State’s Global Teaching Dialogue.

Leeann’s previous experience includes working both domestically and abroad at the intersections of education, nonprofit work, and international collaboration. She began her career in a community-based nonprofit in Iowa teaching English to immigrants and refugees, connecting them with community resources, and training volunteers. She then received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in South Korea, where she focused on unification schools for North Korean and North Korean-Chinese students. Most recently, Leeann worked as an English Language and Writing Consultant for adult language learners and international business professionals.

Leeann attended Coe College, where she spent a semester abroad in Spain and graduated with a bachelor of arts in English and Spanish. She also holds a certificate for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
