Ligia works in the artisan products sector as the Owner and Producer of Twinnkle.gt. For young people in Guatemala and Central America who are interested in handmade crafts and learning crochet, Twinnkle.gt is an arts and crafts company that allows customers to request a crochet design and also gives them the opportunity to share in the experience. Ligia aims to become profitable and achieve gains of over 20% in the short term and ultimately to make the company the main source for crochet articles, to form alliances with great companies, and to open a physical store to sell products and teach crochet. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Ligia’s top business challenge is Marketing & Sales. More specifically, they want to learn how to achieve an income and value of the products and to price the work performed. During the Fellowship Placement, Ligia hopes to gain experience in the areas of business management and finance and to develop knowledge in marketing campaigns management.
