As the President and Regional Trainer for Youth Champs 4 Mental Health, Lionel Philip Rogers has experience in mental health advocacy and suicide prevention awareness through youth education. Upon returning to Fiji, Lionel plans to continue implementing programs to decrease youth suicides in Fiji by empowering youth through community education and youth development. Lionel will be placed at YES Institute in Miami, Florida working on research and development of new course curriculum for the institute’s online courses and supporting the development of a new online pre and post survey system to evaluate the programs of YES Institute, which will provide powerful, action-oriented dialogue and quality research-based education on gender and orientation.
