Lori joined IREX in 2011 and has been working in education programs for 15 years. As Project Director of the Iraq University Linkage Program, she provides leadership for university partnerships in areas of higher education curriculum development and career services.

Lori has lived and/or worked in Iraq for more than 7 years in various capacities. She designed training modules and conducted professional development for teachers and administration with private schools, she initiated and provided oversight to a curriculum development project facilitating collaboration between the U.S. Government, the Kurdistani Ministry of Higher Education, and U.S. university partners. Her experience in Iraq also includes leadership development, faculty development training, and research on women leaders and gender related violence in Kurdistan. Lori has also taught 7th and 8th grade social studies and implemented after-school programs for at-risk students in the U.S.

Lori holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Appalachian State University and both an M.A. and B.A. in education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University
