Lovemore Nyavanhu is the co-founder and program director of Regional Network of the Children and Young People Trust (RNCYPT). He has over eight years experience working with children and young people, particularly girls and young women, on community development projects. During his fellowship in the United States, he hopes to learn new strategies in the area of preventing violence against women, to gain valuable experience, and to acquire new perspectives that he will be able to use upon the return to Zimbabwe. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Nyavanhu plans to build a positive social climate where girls and young women are self-determined, mentored and knowledgeable of their rights.
