As a Programs Officer for Youth Parliament of Mozambique, Majo promotes youth participation in decision making processes through civic education, advocacy, training and public debates as a strategy to strengthen democracy, good governance, transparency, social justice and inclusive societies. Majo has experience in youth mobilization and empowerment, electoral observation, social project management, and network-building. During his fellowship in the United States, Majo hopes to learn about transparency and accountability in governance while also developing his skills in proposal writing, monitoring & evaluation and NGO management. Upon returning to Mozambique, Majo plans to help strengthen the organizational capacity of local civil society organizations to address transparency and accountability issues in governance.
