Margaret Etuusa is the Deputy Registrar in the Academic Registrar at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. Her role involves providing leadership, guidance, and supervision of colleagues and students; monitoring the process of enrollment, admission, orientation, induction, and graduation of students; managing academic programs and curriculum review; and overseeing student assessment of faculty. She also provides guidance to students on academic, curricular, and career issues, and acts as the liaison between the Principals, College Registrars, and students in handling academic affairs. Margaret holds a M.Ed. in Teaching of English Language and Literature, and a B.A. in History and Literature in English, both from Makerere University. During her UASP fellowship, Margaret will be focusing on campus life/student services as it relates to best practices and student retention strategies.
