As the Executive Director of the Nutresa Foundation, Maria Clara Piedrahita leads and manages the social strategy of Fundacion Nutresa, focusing on corporate social responsibility in nutrition, education and culture, income generation, and volunteerism. While in the U.S., Piedrahita worked with Silver & Black Give Back in San Antonio, Texas, where she learned strategies to better facilitate community development and assisted the organization in the development of a volunteer framework that strengthened the organization’s approach to volunteer recruitment. Following the Community Solutions Program fellowship, she worked to equip small-scale community development organizations with the tools needed to properly secure funding and implement effective community initiatives that seek to mitigate violence through training employees on a variety of subjects related to leadership, management, and community development.
