Diana works in the agriculture sector as the COO of Oliveza and CEO of Colca Foods. For the Peruvian community living abroad as well as conscious consumers leading a healthy lifestyle, Oliveza and Colca Foods are producers and exporters of Peruvian superfood products: Oliveza is Diana’s family-owned business, while Colca Foods is a new business with a goal of promoting Peruvian superfoods, especially olives, around the world. Diana aims to achieve recognition of Peruvian superfoods for their health benefits in the international market. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Diana’s top business challenge is Scaling & Expansion. More specifically, their main focus is growing the consumption of their products abroad and establishing Peruvian olives as a high-end global superfood. During the Fellowship Placement, Diana hopes to develop their marketing skills and gain access to the international market. They would also like to learn commercial go-to-market and marketing strategies, to attend international fairs, and to promote their agricultural products. Finally, they would like to learn from a US agro-industrial company about their technology and policies so that they can replicate or adapt them in Peru.
