Marko Phiri, Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe) is a freelance journalist based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second largest city. He has worked as a frelance journalist with the Voice of America Studio7 for Zimbabwe, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting, Inter Press Service, the London-based Catholic weekly The Tablet, The Irish Catholic, Reuters, Gemini News Service, and United Press International, among others. Marko is also the author of short story and film scripts that focus on exploring the human condition. His short fiction works have appeared on www.kalaharireview.com in addition to the short film titled Stanley. Marko is also a blogger at kubatana.net and is an author with Global Voices.
