As a Civil Society Expert and Political Participation Team Manager for Social Policy, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD), Marsel Tuğkan Gündoğdu has experience in advocacy, lobbying, capacity building, and working specifically on political participation of LGBTI+ citizens. For his follow-on project in Turkey, Marsel plans to create new opportunities and strengthen the capacity of LGBTI+ people for political participation.

Marsel will be placed at the Technology Association of Oregon in Portland, OR to discover more about the stories of openly LGBTI+ candidates in U.S. elections.
