Michael Koma is the editor‐in‐chief of the Juba Post newspaper in South Sudan, as well as chairperson of the Union of Journalists of South Sudan, an organization advocating for journalists’ protections as well as a democratic media legal framework for the new nation of South Sudan. A graduate of Juba University, Michael Koma divides his time between Juba, South Sudan and Khartoum. The Juba Post is a privately owned independent newspaper published twice weekly that aims at providing accuracy and just reporting.
