Michael is a program officer for Fulbright Teacher Exchanges at IREX. He has a passion for global experiences and believes deeply in the benefits of an international perspective on education and people. 

Prior to working at IREX, he spent over a decade in Taiwan as an elementary school and ESOL teacher and in a wide array of other roles. As a student, Michael pursued Chinese & ESOL studies before returning to complete his master’s in Asia-Pacific studies at National Taiwan Chengchi University in Taipei. He also has background in university admissions, international promotion, and supporting non-profit educational and cross-cultural programs with local communities in both the U.S. and abroad.
