As the CEO and Founder of Textialpaca Peru, Mónica Pérez-Wicht has experience in the Business industry with a focus on the production of fabrics made in alpaca fiber, commercialization, and maintaining social responsibility within the garments industry. During the fellowship, Mónica aims to learn about the American Business industry and its market, how to develop and launch textile collections in the United States, and how she can position her company to succeed when approaching American brands as potential buyers (B2B). Upon returning to Perú, Mónica plans to increase the number of her American clients through her YLAI network while developing and exporting high quality, personalized alpaca products.
