Having served as an expert volunteer since 2007 with Restless Development, whilst building the capacity of target audiences through a variety of sexual reproductive health and rights, livelihood and civic participation lessons using non-formal education methods, Mutebi Bwakya seeks out problems around issues of development and create solutions to them. During his fellowship in the United States, he hopes to acquire insight on creating strategies for social inclusion and effective behavior change. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Bwakya plans to work with primary and secondary schools on gender integration and inclusion.
