Noel Lutomia
As the Founder and Director of Tunawiri Pamoja, Noel Lutomia empowers rural adolescent girls and women with life skills; sexual and reproductive health and rights; entrepreneurship; and agribusiness by providing information through school visits, workshops, and community outreach. She is also responsible for fundraising, compliance, and providing leadership in the implementation of the strategic direction and growth of the organization. While in the U.S., Lutomia worked with Center for Women's Leadership in Portland, Oregon, where she helped improve outreach activities, worked with teens on leveraging the teen council to serve more teens outside the teen summit, and provided support to the Alumnae Board of the Leadership Oregon outreach to college students. Since her return to Kenya, Lutomia has focused her efforts on Komesha COVID-19 Vijijini, a campaign geared towards creating awareness and educating rural communities in Kenya on the facts to prevent and protect against COVID-19 and provides access to supplies and on Paza Sauti, a project pushing for adolescent girls and young women in rural areas to break the silence on menstruation and their sexual health and rights.
