Olga works in the business services sector as the CEO and Senior Engineer of Balanced Constructions. For industrial facility operators; real estate, commercial, and hospitality developers; government agencies; and businesses and organizations seeking building solutions focused on safety, resources, aesthetics, sustainability, and constructability, Balanced Constructions is a civil engineering company that contributes to society’s wellbeing and resilience by providing structures that are safe and constructed to withstand the impact of natural disasters. Olga aims to develop strategies, build partnerships, and improve internal processes in the short term and ultimately to maintain a sustainable internal structure and diversified financial resources. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Olga’s top business challenge is Finance, especially obtaining sufficient capital to invest in business growth. During the Fellowship Placement, Olga hopes to gain knowledge and learn about aspects of the design–build industry, including financing a small business and effective negotiation. They hope to meet people with different cultural backgrounds and build lasting relationships.
