O’Shane works in the tourism sector as the CEO and Founder of The Entity JA. For wedding planners, tourist attractions, and hotels/resorts seeking full-service events and entertainment solutions, The Entity JA is an events and entertainment company that connects local talent with clients and provides entertainment solutions that are original, ingenious, and creative. O’Shane’s main short-term goal is to successfully establish the Best of Jamaica program in which young people from various communities in Jamaica can have the opportunity to showcase their talent to visitors of the island. Their long-term goal is to head the Caribbean’s leading events and entertainment company, creating a space for local talent and aligning them with customers across the globe. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, O'Shane’s top business challenge is Finance. More specifically, they want to focus on securing funding to source equipment for executing events, creating an impactful number of jobs for Jamaicans, and managing cashflow for business sustainability. During the Fellowship Placement, O'Shane hopes to gain knowledge on properly scaling and expanding the business to support its community.
