As an Acting National Coordinator for Student Christian Movement of Zimbabwe, Precious works closely with local authorities, students and youths to develop and improve community involvement in participatory budgeting in order to restore the public’s confidence in local governments. Precious is an expert in social accountability, public budget training, financial management, and civic education with developed skills in youth mentoring, proposal writing and grant management. During her fellowship in the United States, Precious hopes to learn about enhancing the skills of youth in holding leaders accountable and using ICT-based social accountability tools. She also wants to develop her skills in non-violent social accountability communication strategies, proposal writing, and understanding the public budgeting cycle. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Precious plans to start gender-balanced Advocacy Action Teams to monitor the way that local governments execute their duties.
