Radka Hetmankova has over five years of experience working on projects related to social justice, poverty issues, and community development in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. Over the last two years, Radka has focused on gender-specific homelessness and the phenomenon of the feminization of poverty. As the lead researcher at Jako doma – Homelike, an NGO in Prague, Radka has developed and is leading an ongoing research narrative into women’s homelessness.

Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Radka will continue researching and analyzing specific issues surrounding women’s poverty and will work on disseminating these findings and stimulating social policy and academic debate on the topic.
