As a Capacity Building Expert on the Human Rights Based Approach to Women’s Rights Issues with Action Aid International Denmark, Rejoice Matanga works with survivors of violence in Malawi. During her CSP fellowship at the YWCA of Niagara, New York, Matanga worked on advocating for women who were victims of domestic violence at the local level through various legal, political, and civil society channels. Upon her return to Zimbabwe, Matanga worked to increase community involvement, participation, and awareness in responding to and preventing gender-based violence.
