As the Founder and CEO of Finca Margarita, Roberto Sandoval has experience in the coffee business, barista skills training, and project management in social startups. During the fellowship, Roberto aims to learn advanced approaches to partnership strategy in social startups, increase coffee sales in Honduras and international markets such as the USA, and improve his financial skills as he expands into the international markets. Upon returning to Honduras, Roberto plans to scale and expand his company to the city of Copan. As he works with groups of young women in extreme poverty there, he hopes to reduce emigration to the United States in coffee-related occupations. He also looks forward to working with small agricultural producers, training them to improve the quality of their coffee, and to work sustainably.
