As the executive director and founder for The Angelic Ladies Society, Sara-Lou Angelique Morgan-Walker has experience gaining deeper insight into the issues surrounding child welfare and child protection in Jamaica. For her CSP practicum, Sara-Lou collaborated with Cherokee Family Violence Center where she focused on best practices for the Transitional Housing Program, including household budgeting, dynamics of domestic violence, and safety planning. For her follow-on project in Jamaica, Sara-Lou plans to launch a program to support survivors of sexual abuse, raising awareness around the country and advocating for institutional change.
