Sergiu White is a program coordinator at IREX. In this role, Sergiu supports the members of Global Operations and Management (GOM) and the J Visa Program in their various projects and processes. In GOM, Sergiu serves under Vice President Margarita Fernandez while focusing on policy management and helping to make GOM more accessible to the greater organization. In the J Visa Program, Sergiu manages participants’ arrival documents, SEVIS payments, monitoring forms, and program close outs while maintaining consistent communication regarding their concerns.

Prior to joining IREX, Sergiu graduated in 2022 from Middlebury College with a degree in international global studies with a focus in Latin America, Spanish, and Portuguese. During his time as a student, Sergiu served as an intern for Migrant Justice in South Burlington, VT and The Natural History Museum of Valparaiso in Chile. After graduating, Sergiu joined P4G as an engagement intern, where he assisted with travel arrangements, visas, and proposal and report preparation in order to support sustainable development led by local actors.

All these experiences helped to inspire a strong interest in intercultural exchange, international development, and collaborative projects, which Sergiu hopes to continue to pursue while working at IREX. In his spare time, Sergiu enjoys eating sweets, collecting cute things, and visiting secondhand book shops.
