As an Information Manager for Joint Crisis Coordination Center (JCCC), Shangar Khalid Hama has experience in the humanitarian field, crisis response, monitoring and evaluation of projects, team management, livelihood projects, and mental health psychosocial support projects that also promote gender equality and women empowerment. For her follow-on project in Iraq, Shangar plans to establish an initiative to support local women to be resilient and seek financial independence.

Shangar will be placed at Battered Women’s Network in Chicago, IL to amplify women empowerment and to help break gender stereotypes as women are constantly facing inequality on the streets, in the workplace, or in their homes.
