As a youth activist for gender equality, Sidhant Bali Maharaj has experience conducting, designing, and facilitating training programs, workshops, and safe spaces for the LGBTIQ+ community. For their follow-on project in Fiji, Sidhant plans to dialogue with other youth activists to establish a network of gender defenders to collectively change society’s understanding of LGBTIQ+ individuals and achieve gender equality in Fiji and the Pacific.

Sidhant will be placed at CenterLink in Fort Lauderdale, FL to learn how to be a better youth activist and influence a large number of people in order to make a long and impactful change in society.
