As a Lecturer at Jigjiga University and Founder and Consultant for Green Addis Initiative, Soreti Tilahun has experience teaching, lecturing, promoting urban agriculture, and planning training sessions for volunteers and green community members. For her follow-on project in Ethiopia, Soreti plans to establish an initiative that advocates for women, girls, and youth to be involved in urban agriculture and establish a user-friendly technological platform through which the green community can sell its products.

Soreti will be placed at IDEAS for US in Orlando, FL to develop a plan to engage women in urban agriculture and create a training curriculum focused on women as active participants in resolving environmental issues.
