As president of the Gazeta de Sud Foundation, the philanthropic wing of one of Romania’s largest regional news outlets, Stefan Voinea works extensively on programs that seek to facilitate greater dialogue between community members and local government officials. During his CSP fellowship, Voinea worked for AmericaSpeaks in Washington, D.C., supporting the organization in its efforts to coordinate public forums and conduct public outreach. Upon returning to Romania, Voinea established an online platform that serves as a virtual “black list” for those individuals reportedly involved in corrupt activities.
