Sunil Casuba is a new business recruitment officer within IREX’s New Business Development Unit. Sunil helps identify key expatriate and local candidates that IREX will propose on each application and bid for new funding across the institution’s programs.

Sunil transitioned and kick started his career in international development by pursuing a second master’s degree in international relations with a concentration in international development from Syracuse University. Through this academic experience, Sunil gained field experiences working with INGOs in West Africa and South Asia. Following this, Sunil was a program officer with the International Republican Institute where he helped oversee the implementation and management of multiple grants in South Asia. These grants funded multiple projects that promoted various good governance principles, including enhancing women and youth participation in political processes and the promotion of civil society groups.

Sunil brings to IREX a diverse professional and academic background. Sunil was formerly a cybersecurity professional. Sunil also has a master’s degree from the National Defense University with a cyber concentration.
