As a Coordinator for Middle East and North Africa Model United Nations, Takwa Khelifi has experience developing and promoting a culture of gender equality by educating and engaging youth through intercultural dialogues and trainings. Takwa Khelifi is placed at Polished Pebbles in Chicago, IL, to assist with expanding the college edition of their program at a local community college, and to create a new workforce development initiative. She will work on their community-based programming and their pilot initiative to help girls access careers in the trades and manufacturing industries, The Pink Hard Hats Project. Upon returning to Tunisia, Takwa plans to create safe spaces for girls and women to speak with freedom, to spark conversations on women's rights, and to develop the soft skills of girls needed to prepare them for their future careers.
