As current Senior Program Manager of Youth Crime Watch of Liberia, Thomas Barlue previously worked as Program Director for over five years at the African Child Peace Initiative, an institution he co-founded, where he developed and coordinated implementation and evaluation of several community empowerment and capacity building initiatives for youth in Liberia. While in the U.S as a CSP Fellow, Barlue worked at Peace First in New York City, where he evaluated in-classroom lessons on peacebuilding at schools throughout the city and delivered professional development courses to AmeriCorps members. Upon his return to Liberia, Thomas worked to implement a peer peacebuilding project in two schools in the greater Monrovia area, adding a networking and sustainability component to his work.
