As a gender-based violence project specialist for CARE International in Laos, Vansaly Chaleunsin has experience supporting government agencies and NGO partners in their efforts to address gender inequality and gender-based violence issues in Laos. For her CSP Practicum, Vansaly was placed at Devotion to Children in Reston, Virginia where she assisted in program development, research on new program opportunities for the organization, fundraising, and event planning. For her follow-on project in Laos, Vansaly plans to provide trainings on domestic violence, gender equality, and food security to improve the health and well-being of women and children.
