Xavier Tembo
As a Technical Advisor for Organisational Development of The German International Development Cooperation GIZ, Xavier Tembo provides organizational development support to multisector government and nongovernmental institutions engaged in nutrition programming, provides capacity development skills and training, and supports the multisector stakeholders with budgeting processes and resource mobilization. While in the U.S., Tembo worked with Eco City Farms in Maryland, where he participated in food production using organic processes and engaged and trained growers. Since his return to Zambia, Tembo has worked on the Women In Nutrition Project, where he has trained 350 women in composting and permaculture techniques for improved soil fertility and increased food diversity. He is also working on the Hope for Rural Teenage Mothers Project that imparts teenage mothers with entrepreneurship and reproductive health skills.
