Zi Xiang Chan is community organizer and project manager with Impian Malaysia who focuses on water and resource management. During his fellowship in the United States, Chan would like to learn about rural and indigenous community development through sustainable agriculture by focusing on native crops and produce that will bring lasting economic benefits to the community. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Chan will focus on the expanding his social enterprise which focuses on traditional paddy planting in Sarawak, by improving the logistics network, promoting systems of rice intensification, and developing targeted branding and positioning of their native rice.
