As the Program Coordinator of Educate! Uganda, Zipporah Jean Alaroker is responsible for regional leadership, partnership management, budget management, trainings, coaching, and mentorship of staff. While in the U.S., Alaroker worked with National Youth Leadership Centre in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she worked with the youth board on organization governance, planned activities on different projects, and conducted research and report writing. Since her return to Uganda, Alaroker co-founded a social enterprise called GT Garbage and Sanitation Solutions in the Gulu district that works to collect garbage from residential homes and offices and employs four youth from the community. She is also involved in girl child education, motivational speaking, and teaching young people life skills that are useful in their journey to become community leaders.
